This book provides, in words and pictures, what life was like in Iraq before they left, why they were forced to flee, and how they feel about life as a refugee. Their stories are set against background information about Iraq, Saddam Hussain's rule, the invasion, and the subsequent civil war. This book was written, illustrated and designed by young people from around the world. Twenty countries were requested to report on essential threats to the environment, economic development, population increase, and patterns of production and consumption. Included are personal accounts of environmental issues from Peru to Hong Kong as well as a fold-out eco-maze game.
